The Atlantic Jazz Lab ensemble is a first for the islands: an attempt to build a resident jazz group made up of leading players from the jazz scene.
Around it turn several programmes devoted to studying, spreading and renewing jazz in the archipelago.
It has played stages on Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and Gran Canaria, and the Canarias Jazz&Más Heineken festival, with programmes of music by Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter o Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers.
